    Crowdfunding campaign set up to turn Ian Curtis's house into a museum

Joy Division fan Zak Davies has started a campaign to buy Ian Curtis's former home and turn in into a museum in his memory

He plans to raise a minimum of £150,000 to cover the following costs:

£115,000 on the purchase of the property
£30,000 on the renovation to the original interior
£5,000 on any legal costs

Not everyone welcomes the scheme - Incubation Arts have been working for some time to establish a similar museum elsewhere in Macclesfield and one-time owner of the house Dorothy Bentley-Smith would prefer the property to remain residential.

Media coverage has inevitably tended to focus on Ian's death rather than the fact that he wrote his best work in the triangular room at the front of the house. See pic below.

Im NME hat Bernard Sumner erklärt, dass Deborah Curtis wohl nicht von der Idee begeistert ist. Er persönlich meint, dass es auch etwas unglücklich wäre, weil das den Selbstmord in den Vordergrund stellen würde.

Ich finde der Gedanke das man das Schlafzimmer sehen kann wo Ian Deborah gepoppt hat ist viel viel schlimmer...

Was? Das Poppen auf dem Küchentisch?
Allerdings wurde die AIFL an dem Küchentisch gefaltet.

Wer hat den Tisch eigentlich gekauft? Und würde der derjenige ihn auch zur Verfügung stellen? Fürs Museum meine ich natürlich ::)
