Vincent Cassidy has written a touching tribute to his brother Larry on section25.com.

The funeral is to be held at midday on Friday 12 March at:

naja German Order hat ja seine Anteilnahme in Form von einer kleinen Spende und einem Beitrag zum Gedenkkranz beigesteuert.Der Alex hat das ja für uns gemacht.Den "Flyer" zur Gedenkfeier hatten wir ja im Auto vom A. in der Hand,sehr nett gemacht.

UNCUT take156/May2010: Hier ist ein Nachruf an Larry Cassidy zu finden; allerdings ohne Foto:
Blackpool vocalist Cassidy dropped out of a law degree to study fine art. But his enthusiasm for the London Punk Scene led to him forming Section 25 once back in Lancashire. The band signed to Factory in 1979, with debut 45 " Girls don`t count " produced by Ian Curtis and Rob Gretton.

Their first album, the Martin Hannett-produced Always Now arrived in 1981. By the mid-80`s the Section 25 sound had evolved from dissonant and doomy art-punk to techno;enlistening    another noted Factory name-Bernard Sumner- to oversee From the hip.
The band folded in `86 reuniting in 2007 for Part-Primitiv. Cassidy had been working on a Section 25 remix LP, Retrofit, due for release this summer.  ( Rob Hughes/Uncut )
